Start with where the garment is worn

Corporate apparel works best when the fabric matches the environment. A breathable performance polo for an outdoor sales team is the wrong choice for an air-conditioned office, and vice versa.

Quick fabric orientation

  • Performance polyester – wicks moisture, holds color after repeated washes, widely available across price points. Start here for field teams, events and high-turnover roles.
  • Cotton blends (60/40 or 50/50) – softer feel, minimal shrinkage, durable enough for weekly wear. A solid default for office and mixed-use uniforms.
  • Ring-spun cotton or pima – softer hand, used for premium gifts and executive-facing apparel. Expect slightly higher price and more careful laundering.
  • Softshell or fleece outerwear – check the intended temperature range. Lightweight fleece layers well; heavy softshell works outdoors but is bulky indoors.

Match decoration method to the garment

Embroidery and polyester are a predictable combination. Thin tees, or garments with a lot of stretch, suit direct-to-film or screen printing instead. We call this out on every quote because the wrong method changes how the logo looks after three months of wear.

Ask us about wear before price

Two polos can look identical on a product page and feel very different after 20 washes. We prefer programmes where the default option is the garment that actually lasts for the intended role, not the cheapest listed SKU. That means fewer reorders, a more consistent team look, and less waste.
